- A picture from our 34-week ultrasound (which was a couple of weeks ago now). It turns out we only had the ultrasound because of a typo in the doctor's notes, but I'm thankful for the extra peek at our baby.
- I painted the crib (two weekends ago)! And I love it.
- I put this animal alphabet wall decal up above the newly painted changing table. It may be too kiddie-cutesy for some, but to me it's just colourful and fun.
- I received this beautiful lambskin as a gift at my baby shower. Unfortunately, the cat loves it as much as I do.
I was hoping to have some pretty 'after' pictures of the nursery to share with you today, but I just can't seem to get around to those finishing touches. When I left for work this morning, the house was a mess, our washing machine wasn't working, and the fourth round of caulking around the tub was still drying (damn you, humidity). I know it's only Wednesday, but I can't wait for the weekend to get here.
Ever have one of those weeks where you're doing a lot, but it feels like nothing's getting done? How do you cope?
I love all the details! Can't wait to see it all come together :)
ReplyDeleteAww....having a peak is fun! your room looks great. those weeks happen to me all the time. I kid you not, my to do list is always endless. hope you are feeling well.
ReplyDeleteThe crib looks so great! love the colour you picked! I can't wait to see more - what a lucky babe. I'd say just roll with it. Those weeks will always come, so just do what you can and try not too worry too much about other things. I always have to remind myself that it's my blog... and if I don't have stuff to write about or photograph right away, it's not that big of a deal, and eventually I will get around to it!
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing well in these final few weeks! :) xo
Thanks! I'm hoping to finish it up this weekend, so check back next week :)
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear that others feel the same way - I have to remind myself not to be too worried about the timeline of my to do list, but some weeks it feels like things are being added much faster than I'm able to check anything off!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kerry! Great advice and a great reminder not to be so hard on myself - I always find it frustrating when the things I don't want to do (like re-caulking the tub or fixing the washing machine) have to take precedence over the things I do want to do (like hang art in the nursery), but that's life, right?
ReplyDeleteThat is one cute baby you've got there mamma! :) Love the crib too!
